TOKYO, Japan (February 15, 2017) – Digital Arts Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO Toshio Dogu; “Digital Arts”; Code 2326), a provider of information security software and solutions, announced the renewal of its product line for i-FILTER Browser & Cloud, an endpoint web security software designed to improve operational efficiency and protect mobile devices from various cyber threats for enterprise, education and public-sector clients. The two line of products offered are MultiAgent, regulating web connection across all applications on a device, and SecureBrowser, controlling saved data on the device, and both are made available on February 28, 2017.

As more iPads and Windows tablets are used nationwide, especially with the extensive initiative of utilizing ICT in the classrooms, mobile usage has entered a new phase. We now see increasing demands on web filtering that is not dependent on a specific browser and more people are voicing their needs to use web filtering in conjunction with applications that has its own web access features.

Enterprises must also adjust to a more flexible working style as more employees take their mobile devices on the go. Mobile devices used outside of corporate boarders, however, can be vulnerable to targeted attacks. For instance, an employee’s device can be infected with malware through public Wi-Fi networks with low security levels. “Data loss as a result of targeted attack” was chosen the number one threat by corporations according to The Top 10 IT Security Threats 2017 issued in January 2017 by IPA. Aside from placing measures to protect the organization itself, toughing security levels on mobile devices taken out of the corporate boarders is also a critical issue that should be addressed.

Under such circumstances, Digital Arts offers two new product lines under its endpoint web security software i-FILTER Browser & Cloud Ver. 4.9. MultiAgent allows users to set web filtering*1 across all applications on a device, and SecureBrowser is a dedicated browser to control data saved inside the device. Furthermore, with the addition of MultiAgent for iOS and SecureBrowser for Window, this software now supports both iOS and Windows.

MultiAgent for iOS filters all applications on the device, which makes it possible to apply filtering settings to the iOS standard browser, Safari. This new edition closes all potential loopholes when using filtering software together with business and learning support applications by controlling web access features within these applications. SecureBrowser for Windows is effective to prevent data loss in the enterprises through authentication or content auto-deletion via cloud services. Furthermore, it also comes with a feature to delete previous user information, which is effective when sharing a single device with multiple users, such as in the education vertical.

With this addition, MultiAgent and Secure Broswer can be used together to close even greater security gaps, in addition to an added feature to notify the administrator when device users access malicious websites or the device is infected with malware. Administrators can take this information and quarantine the device from the network, and do this remotely, as an important initial response to any security incident.

Digital Arts continues to drive a secure and convenient internet environment with its endpoint web security i-FILTER Browser & Cloud and contribute to a more safe usage of mobile devices by offering features that resolves security challenges in the enterprise, education and public-sector markets.
