Information Literacy Video Lessons for Endpoint Security Product Users at Educational Institutions -
expansion of "D-Contents" information providing service for schools

Information security solution provider Digital Arts, Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as "Digital Arts"; Code 2326) is pleased to announce that it will be distributing the information literacy video lessons for students that were previously offered in the form of in-person school visits to realize a safer and more secure internet and smartphone usage environment, on the "D-Contents" platform, limited to users of Digital Arts' endpoint security product "i-FILTER Browser & Cloud."

Endpoint security "i-FILTER Browser & Cloud" users only. Free video lessons on "information literacy."

Used for devices such as tablets, Digital Arts offers an endpoint security product called "i-FILTER Browser & Cloud" that has been introduced to more than 7,300 companies and government agencies, and more than 31,000 schools and educational institutions nationwide. Designed to control access to the web without leaving data on devices, and prevent leaks of internal information, "i-FILTER Browser & Cloud" can be installed and used immediately as a security measure for devices such as those given to company employees to work remotely from home or students for their learning purposes at home. To users of "i-FILTER Browser & Cloud", most of whom being the educational institutions, Digital Arts also provides a free service called "D-Contents", which shares information on websites that are useful for classes and learning.

From July 13, Digital Arts will be offering a new series of video lessons about information literacy for elementary, junior and senior high school students as new contents of "D-Contents." Until recently, Digital Arts had been visiting schools across Japan and holding in-person lectures on information literacy that looked at internet rules and etiquette for young people to ensure safer browsing and smartphone use, and what to watch out for when using social media. From this March onward, due to the spread of COVID-19, it became difficult to conduct face-to-face lessons as it was impossible to ensure customer safety. However, due to prolonged school closures and increased home study, there have been growing concerns around troubles caused online and children's dependence on smartphones.

Because of this, we have put together an approximately 30-minute long video so that all educational institutions can incorporate education on information literacy into their classes.

From September, this content will also be distributed to users of Digital Arts' web security products "i-FILTER" and "i-FILTER" GIGA.
