Information Literacy Course for Local Governments
- A from-scratch explanation on raising security awareness and handling of basic information for the incoming strengthening of local governments -
Information security solutions provider Digital Arts, Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as "Digital Arts"; securities code 2326) is pleased to announce that we will be holding an information literacy course for local government employees in line with the "Guidelines for Information Security Policy in Local Public Organizations" scheduled to be reviewed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
The information security measure guidelines for local governments strengthened in 2015 are being considered for revision by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in light of the recent trend toward cloud computing and online administration. In recent years, incidents of cyber-attacks and information leakage targeting local governments and public institutions have been unending, bringing about a need for a wide range of measures to be implemented, such as thorough risk management while using the cloud to improve efficiency and convenience. Under such circumstances, it is important to improve the security skills and information literacy of employees to be able to primitively prevent information leakage.
In response to this, Digital Arts has decided to hold an information literacy course, which was previously held for schools, to improve the security measures of local governments. We will explain a wide range of content, from the basics of what information security is to information assets handling and security measures that can be practiced in your own work, in an easy-to-understand manner.
