Digital Arts begins company-wide use of generative pre-trained transformer AI, ChatGPT

Information security solutions provider Digital Arts Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as “Digital Arts”; Securities Code 2326) is pleased to announce that it will begin using the generative pre-trained transformer AI by America's OpenAI, ChatGPT, from July 19.

Company-wide, Digital Arts has begun using OpenAI API, which enables the use of ChatGPT, a generative AI developed by the US's OpenAI, Inc. When ChatGPT is used via an Application Programming Interface (API) that links applications, information that is input is not used for AI model training. Digital Arts has established a system that ensures security through the usage of API to be able to use ChatGPT safely.

In order to improve operations, increase productivity, enhance customer support, and increase end-user satisfaction, one idea Digital Arts intends to incorporate is the use of answers from ChatGPT.

Additionally, we intend to deepen employees' knowledge and understanding of ChatGPT by sharing within the company how to effectively prompt ChatGPT to derive the desired results, providing in-house education to improve AI literacy, and holding idea contests to collect ideas for business improvement through ChatGPT, so that all employees will be able to use ChatGPT safely and effectively.

Currently, we are using a version of our own chat and online conferencing tool Desk that integrates ChatGPT. We are also looking into the possibility of making this version commercially available in the future. By utilizing ChatGPT safely and effectively, we will also use it to develop solutions, improve products, and create new value.
