Improved D-Alert Reporting Service that notifies users of malware threats and response methods launching December 13
— — 24-hour/365-day support and reports compiling incident information from over 12.25 million people*2 provide users with insight into the latest direction of malware — —

Information security solutions provider Digital Arts Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as "Digital Arts"; Code 2326) is pleased to announce that it will be launching an improved version of its "D-Alert Reporting Service" that detects possible infection of ever diverse and sophisticated malware and provides users with information on how to respond.

D-Alert Reporting Service notifies users of what kind of incidents were detected with which users and when

D-Alert Reporting Service is an optional extra for users of i-FILTER@Cloud and m-FILTER@Cloud that detects incidents and quickly and efficiently provides specific countermeasures. If a user subscribed to i-FILTER@Cloud accesses an unsafe website, or if a user subscribed to m-FILTER@Cloud sends or receives a dangerous email, Digital Arts will detect it. After this, Digital Arts automatically assesses the access logs and sends a D-Alert report that shows when and with which user the incident was detected and what measures should be taken.
While the recent increase in cyber-attacks and in the sophistication of said attacks have made specialized organizations that can detect and respond to incidents more important than ever, the implementation of solutions to detect and notify of even the most common threats is difficult to handle in-house due to the extremely high cost, required staff, and resources. Due to this need, we launched D-Alert Reporting Service to help companies and organizations solve issues of cyber security by detecting incidents quickly and at a low cost and providing guidance on how to deal with any incidents that may occur efficiently.

Enhanced features provide improved support systems and understanding of incident trends, including those of other companies

The improved version of D-Alert Reporting Service launching December 13 will deliver a monthly report compiling information on incidents from all i-FILTER and m-FILTER series users*1 in addition to the regular D-Alert Reports that users receive when an incident occurs. In addition, the support system is being enhanced as well, extending the hours to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Until now, users subscribed to D-Alert Reporting Service only received incident information on their own company or organization, however, with this new version, users will be able to receive monthly reports containing information about all 12.25 million users*2 of the i-FILTER and m-FILTER series, providing them insight into the latest incident trends, including those of other companies.
The monthly report specifically includes the total number of times unsafe websites were accessed and malicious file attachments were received, a breakdown of malware, and a column on security-related information by our team of experts.*3
D-Alert Reports provide i-FILTER@Cloud users with reports on incidents detected within their company that include information on incident dates and times, accessed URLs, the number of affected users and their names, devices that attempted to access the URLs, access status and processes, in addition to future steps such as malware scans and talking to affected users. For m-FILTER@Cloud users, the reports contain the detailed results of the investigation, including the date and time of the incident, the email addresses sent or received, the number of emails, the source IP address, the subject, and the name of attached files, as well as measures that should be taken.
This means that by reviewing the D-Alert Reports, users can identify the exact users who accessed unsafe websites or sent/received dangerous emails and quickly respond to any incidents.

Looking forward, Digital Arts will continue to endeavor to develop products and provide services to help solve social issues around cyber-attacks.

*1 The same monthly report will be sent to all users regardless of subscribed product.
*2 Number of i-FILTER Ver. 10, m-FILTER Ver. 5, i-FILTER@Cloud and m-FILTER@Cloud users as of the end of September 2023 (in-house survey)
*3 While the regular D-Alert uses the customer's serial number to provide information on threats, the monthly report is a compilation of unsafe websites and malware information collected by Digital Arts, and does not provide information on threats that occurred with a specific customer's serial number.
