TOKYO, Japan (June 1, 2017) – Digital Arts Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, CEO: Toshio Dogu, hereinafter referred to as "Digital Arts", Code 2326) a leading provider of information security software, is set to provide a web filtering system including i-FILTER technology to "Anshin Filter for SoftBank," which is an iOS filtering service aimed at minors. We will begin providing the internet filtering system as an OEM service from Wednesday, March 1, and the management site for smartphones from Thursday, June 1.

Since December 2012, Digital Arts has been providing the internet filtering solutions for Android™ and application filtering solutions to Softbank as an OEM under the name of “Anshin Filter for SoftBank.” We will now also be providing internet filtering solutions for iOS. In addition, as more parents and guardians now own smartphones, we have prepared a management site optimized for smartphones in cooperation with SoftBank. As the interface is the same for both Android and iOS devices, it will be easier for parents and guardians to operate the site from smartphones.
“Anshin Filter for SoftBank” has four recommended settings that can be selected from, “Elementary School Student,” “Junior High School Student,” “Senior High School Student,” and “Senior High School Student Plus.” Each setting has a filtering strength according to the age of the child. Parents and guardians can have even more control by using one of several optional paid services. These include a tool to manage internet usage time, a function that can check internet usage status (for iOS and Android), and a function that allows parents and guardians to check where their child has been via geolocation history (for Android.)
Digital Arts will continue to make efforts, in cooperation with SoftBank, work toward ensuring that minors have a safe and secure environment when they use smartphones or other internet-connected devices, and to take opportunities to highlight the importance of and promote the spread of internet filtering.
