"i-FILTER@Cloud" realizes POST control on all recommended OSs
of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science
and Technology's GIGA School Program

- Control writing and photo uploads that could encourage bullying among students -

Information security solutions provider Digital Arts, Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as “Digital Arts”; securities code 2326) is pleased to announce that it has added a new POST filter/POST log function for its web security product "i-FILTER@Cloud" to Chromebooks, meaning that, in addition to Windows/iOS, it now covers all recommended OSs for the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's (MEXT) GIGA School Program. This new feature will be available from December 10.

Control posts even on Chromebooks which have high levels of uses in educational settings.

In addition to the "GIGA School Program" promoted by the MEXT, prolonged shcool closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic have accelerated moves to make sure all students have access to devices at school. In light of this, Digital Arts has been offering a version of its web security product "i-FILTER" that responds to the needs of the learning environment-based GIGA School Program, and successfully realizes safe, efficient, and progressive learning environments with the "i-FILTER" GIGA School Edition.

Up until now, while schools were able to use the POST Control function to control students uploading photos taken using their devices' cameras and writing on message boards and social media on both the on-premises version ("i-FILTER" Ver.10) and the cloud version ("i-FILTER@Cloud") on Windows or iOS devices, Chromebooks were not supported. However, we have successfully made it so Chromebooks can now use POST Control feature of "i-FILTER@Cloud". Chromebooks, which are simple to set up and operate and can reduce implementation and operating costs, are progressively being introduced to schools more often. With this update, it will now be possible to use the POST Control function to control students' use of devices for private, non-education related reasons and prevent the development of bully on all OSs recommended by the MEXT for their GIGA School Program.

"i-FILTER" GIGA School Edition has a special lineup of functions that provide safe and secure learning environments.
