Anti-Virus & Sandbox Added to the "On-Premise" Version of i-FILTER

Information security solutions provider Digital Arts Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as “Digital Arts”; Code 2326) is pleased to announce the release of Anti-Virus & Sandbox, an added optional function for our web security product i-FILTER, on July 1 and a special promotion alongside the release.

Following its addition to the cloud version, Anti-Virus & Sandbox is being added to the on-premise version of i-FILTER as well.

Anti-Virus & Sandbox, a new optional anti-virus and sandbox function, is already available in the cloud version of the web security product i-FILTER, i-FILTER@Cloud, and the cloud version of the email security product m-FILTER, m-FILTER@Cloud. The same function will now be available for the on-premise version of i-FILTER.

In order to enable more customers to experience the improved safety and convenience of i-FILTER's whitelisting and Anti-Virus & Sandbox functions, a promotion for Anti-Virus & Sandbox will begin on the day of its launch, July 1, 2022.

Whitelisting and Anti-Virus & Sandbox provide enhanced security with both safety and convenience

Digital Arts offers i-FILTER for secure web access and m-FILTER for receiving safe and secure emails. By utilizing the database of URLs and emails that i-FILTER and m-FILTER have collected over the years, Digital Arts have created a system called whitelisting, which only allows access to websites and emails that we have deemed safe. Whitelisting protects the networks of 10 million^*1　users from known and unknown malware, and to date, we have received zero reports of infection^*2.

Anti-Virus & Sandbox is coming to i-FILTER as a new optional add-on. Anti-Virus & Sandbox improves security in everything from accessing safe websites to downloading secure files.

i-FILTER automatically determines the risk of downloaded file extensions and blocks downloads of potentially dangerous files and malware directly embedded in websites. However, the new add-on, Anti-Virus & Sandbox, uses an engine of the highest caliber curated by Digital Arts and can determine whether or not files blocked by i-FILTER contain malware in real-time. Thus, it improves time and convenience in addition to security.

Furthermore, by providing a one-stop malware identification system within the same product, it makes centralizing management of logs also possible, meeting the security requirements for many of today's cloud networks. The function also meets the needs of users who require anti-virus software and sandbox features when using i-FILTER as a secure web gateway.

With the expected future increase in cyberattacks that take advantage of the current state of the world, there is an urgent need to review existing security measures. By offering Anti-Virus & Sandbox, Digital Arts will support the security measures of more users, companies, and organizations not only in terms of safety but also in terms of convenience.

Anti-Virus & Sandbox promotion details

The promotion will offer a discount on the monthly licensing fee of the new Anti-Virus & Sandbox add-on.

Customers who purchase the add-on during the promotion will receive it for a monthly fee of 150 yen (excl. tax) rather the usual 200 yen (excl. tax). Additionally, those who were already using the add-on by the end of June 2022 will only pay 100 yen per month (excl. tax).

The promotion will run from July 1, 2022 to December 23, 2022. If the number of licenses for this add-on and products for which the promotion has already begun exceed one million, the promotion will end early.

*Requires an annual contract. This promotion is only applicable to multi-year contracts. The promotion price will apply until the end of existing or new contracts, after which the regular price will apply.
