— Protects against internet security risks, including unauthorized access to online brokerage accounts Safeguards against both current and future threats —
Information security solutions provider Digital Arts Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as “Digital Arts”; Code 2326) is pleased to announce that it will launch its new comprehensive consumer security software, i-FILTER 10, on Friday, August 1, 2025. The product addresses security risks associated with internet use, including online brokerage account takeovers and phishing scams that have become social issues in recent years. By extending its proprietary Whitelisting®*1 solution — previously offered to corporate and educational users — to individual consumers as well, Digital Arts helps provide a safe and convenient internet environment for all users.
Today, anyone with a smartphone is vulnerable to fraud
In today’s internet-based society, smartphones and computers enable calls, messaging, internet access, payments, investment management, and account management. The convenience continues to grow daily. However, threats designed to exploit this environment and steal personal information — including scam calls, fraudulent messages and websites, and viruses — are rapidly increasing and growing more sophisticated. Today, simply owning a smartphone can make anyone a potential victim.
Such instances include fraud schemes in which criminals impersonate family members or government officials to defraud victims of cash or cash cards, as well as phishing scams using phone calls, emails, and websites — all of which are growing more severe. Notably, losses from online brokerage account takeovers and unauthorized trading totaled approximately ¥571 billion in the first half of 2025 alone. Moreover, criminal groups continue to develop and implement new fraud techniques on a daily basis, outpacing the ability of individuals to defend against them.
Comprehensive consumer security software i-FILTER 10 now available to address online risks
Given the numerous security risks associated with internet use — including online brokerage account takeovers and phishing scams — Digital Arts believes it is the responsibility of a security provider to create a safe and convenient internet environment for all users. To this end, the company is launching i-FILTER 10, comprehensive consumer security software equipped with its proprietary Whitelisting®*1 solution that has already been available to businesses and schools for approximately eight years.i-FILTER 10 includes a range of web access security features, such as blocking access to dangerous and fraudulent sites, and phishing sites linked in emails and messages. Additional features include warnings when users connect to unsafe Wi-Fi networks where communications may be intercepted, phone number filtering that alerts smartphone users to spam and scam calls, and application filtering that blocks the installation of malicious applications. In addition, features such as location checking and usage visualization enable users to monitor family members’ safety.
With these extensive features and an intuitive design suitable for users from children to older adults, i-FILTER 10 provides security that protects against both current and future threats.
・More than 13.8 million users as of June 30, 2025, with zero reported malware infections to date
• Digital Arts products were adopted by 95 percent of the boards of education approached during the GIGA School Program Phase 2 (company data, as of June 30, 2025)
Protecting users in a wide range of everyday situations
1. When shopping onlineScams can take many forms — paying for goods that never arrive, or logging into what appears to be a major online store only to have your login credentials or payment details stolen.
i-FILTER 10 blocks access not only to known scam sites but also to websites whose safety cannot be verified, allowing you to shop online with confidence.
2. When opening emails from credit card companies or delivery services
When opening emails from credit card companies or delivery services, phishing emails can lead you to fake login pages that look identical to the real thing, putting your internet banking or online brokerage credentials at risk.
i-FILTER 10 reliably blocks access to scam sites, eliminating the need to screen emails yourself.
3. When receiving calls from unknown numbers
Nuisance calls and vishing scams — where callers impersonate financial institutions or public agencies to steal personal or account information — remain an ongoing risk. i-FILTER 10 displays warnings for suspicious incoming calls, helping you avoid dangerous numbers and answer calls with confidence.
Future-ready security built to protect against emerging threats
Unlike many security solutions that rely on a blocklist-based approach — blocking access to websites based on databases of known threats — i-FILTER 10 uses a proprietary allowlist-based approach that allows access only to websites whose safety has been verified. Digital Arts provides this solution under the name Whitelisting® and has been offering it to businesses and schools for around eight years.Today, it is used by more than 13.8 million users.
Conventional blocklist-based security struggles to keep up with newly created scam sites used for phishing and other fraud. i-FILTER 10 takes a different approach, allowing access only to websites that Digital Arts has verified as safe. As a result, it blocks not only known threats such as phishing sites, but also newly emerging scam sites designed to steal personal financial information. A common concern with allowlist-based security is reduced convenience due to excessive blocking. Whitelisting® addresses this through its high-accuracy, high-coverage database, enabling users to browse and search websites freely without compromising safety — striking a balance between security and usability.
i-Filter 10 will be available from August 1, 2025 (Friday)
Starting Friday, August 1, 2025, i-FILTER 10 will be available for Android, iOS, and Windows at ¥500 per license per month (¥550 including tax). For more information about the product, please visit the product website:
